Meet the Doctor

147WEBPicture.jpg Like most of you, growing up I had no idea what a chiropractor did.  So, of course, I never considered becoming a chiropractor while I was getting my undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland.

That was until something happened that changed my
life forever.

After college, I suffered almost every day from terrible headaches.  Sometimes, the pain was so bad that I was forced to lie in bed for hours in complete darkness.  I started staying at home instead of spending time with my friends and family.  I felt terrible and was absolutely miserable to be around.   The headaches were ruining my life.

After trying 7 different prescriptions from the neurologist (which did nothing but make me feel even worse because of their side effects), I gave up.

But there's more…

At that time in my life, I volunteered as a basketball coach to a great group of kids in Miami (that's right… I'm a native Floridian and we really do exist!).  The coach of another team was a chiropractor and convinced me to come into his office.  The chiropractor did an exam, took x-rays, and then "adjusted" my spine.  The adjustment didn't hurt.  It actually felt really good. After a few treatments, I got relief and my headaches went away.  It worked so well that I went to chiropractic school myself.  In 1998, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta.

After being a chiropractor for more than two decades, I can tell you that I have the absolute best job in the world.  Getting to help others, the way that my chiropractor initially helped me, is what it's all about.  It's what I'm all about.

So that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

But enough about me…
